At JSBC Labs, the Junior Software Developer will play a key role in shipping features from start to finish. You'll be responsible for picking up scoped tickets, clarifying requirements, and delivering pull requests with tests. The work involves debugging issues across various technologies, writing unit and integration tests, and improving documentation. You'll also participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to enhance the team's output.
Your day-to-day tasks will include tracking your work in Jira and GitHub Projects, automating repetitive tasks, and communicating your progress early. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in programming, fluency in Git, and a basic understanding of testing and SQL. Familiarity with either front-end or back-end frameworks is essential, along with the ability to communicate clearly in writing.
