Interfront is looking for a skilled SQL Developer to join their team in Somerset West. In this role, you will develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects using Microsoft SQL Server. Your work will support a web-based solution environment, where you'll contribute to both new and existing database functionalities. You will also troubleshoot issues and optimize performance to ensure the efficiency of database operations.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include collaborating with Business Analysts to understand requirements, participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), and mentoring junior developers. You will be expected to develop and test ETL processes, monitor database performance, and maintain security and integrity of the databases. A strong understanding of SQL Server administration and query optimization is essential.
This position is best suited for someone with at least 5 years of experience in SQL development, particularly in a team setting. A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related field is required, along with a good grasp of database design principles and security considerations.
